Caldwell and Time Lapse Woes
For some reason my time lapse software decided to crap out on me, which is a shame because it always seemed to do it at the best parts. No one wants to watch someone outline for 4 hours - they want to see the fun parts where everything comes together. Anyway, this is what happened last weekend. 7+ hours of work, most of which were not captured. But here's what was! It's still fun to watch. Enjoy! #CaldwellCigar #Art #Cigar #PopArt #TheArthouse #AbstractArt #Painting #Paint

A little taste of Kentucky
Painting abstract I'm comfortable with. Painting realism, plein air or still life I'm comfortable with. But painting semi-realism with an abstract bend... that was tougher. I kept wanting to paint inside the lines. But overall I'm happy I gave myself a chance to try out this style. There are a lot of possibilities in the pop art arena that have been popping into my head ever since this. #Alcohol #Cigar #TheArthouse #Art #TheIngulgery #AbstractArt #PopArt #Paint #Painting #Jac

Indulgences: The Gentleman
A good cigar is like tasting a good wine: you smell it, you taste it, you look at it, you feel it - you can even hear it. It satisfies all the senses. #Alcohol #Cigar #TheArthouse #Art #TheIngulgery #AbstractArt #PopArt #Painting #Paint

How to do an undercoat
It's really intimidating to paint underneath something, knowing that you're going to be painting over it and leaving only parts exposed. It's hard to tell exactly what it's going to look like. Masters like Gerhard Richter could do it effortlessly, but the rest of us poor schlubs have to hope for the best. Unless... unless you have photoshop and can test it out a bit. Below is the undercoat and pattern that will be going over it. The black will be exposed, and the white will (
